Wow! This was the first full update for the 2019-2020 snow season and after yesterday, we have a Top 25 list for the snowiest cities in the United States. The National Weather Service was having problems for a while as far as reporting all of the cities but it looks like that is fixed now. I wasn’t able to get snow totals for some of the Colorado cities but I can now and WOW :)

Lakewood, Colorado is sitting on top of the snow mountain with a huge lead over most of the other cities. All 5 of the cities from Colorado are on the top 6 spots on the Golden Snow Globe snow mountain. Only 3 tenths of an inch separate Colorado from owning the Top 5 spots with Billings, Montana holding onto the #5 spot.

The good news is (well, Kind of) is the snow season is just beginning and we have a whole lot of snow ahead of us :) :( Remember that the snow contest is only for large cities in the US and the snow season starts on July 1st and ends at the stroke of midnight on June 30th.

Right now we have 33 cities with snow and that will probably go up come the next update. The cities from Texas are even in the snowball fight right now. My guess is they won’t be in the Top 50 by the end of the season but only Mother Nature knows ;) No measurable snow yet for the cities in New York, Pennsylvania and a lot of other states. Give it time ;)

Right now cities from Colorado, Montana, Wisconsin, Texas, Michigan, Indiana, Alaska, Minnesota, Kansas, Idaho, Iowa, Nebraska, North and South Dakota, Illinois, and Missouri have had snow this season. Pretty Impressive!

Buffalo, New York is the defending Champion in both the National Golden Snow Globe snow contest and the New York Golden Snowball contest. It will be fun watching the season play on and watching all of the cities in the snowball fight to be crowned the National Champs. Have a fun safe snow season All :) Click Here for the Current Top 25 Snowiest Cities in the US!
