Wow! The Colorado cities have pretty much taken over the Top 5 in the Golden Snow Globe snow contest for big cities in the United States. Rochester, New York is the only city stopping them from owning the Top 5 slots on the snow mountain. That will probably change come the next update.
Lakewood, Colorado is reporting 11 inches of new snow for today so far, Wow! Right now Lakewood has over 3 feet of snow for the 2019-2020 snow season already. They are blowing away what their average is for this time in the season. Lakewood, CO is reporting 36.4 inches of snow and their average to date is 11.9. Not only that, Lakewood already has well over half of what their average snowfall for the whole season is which is 55.8 inches if my stats are right
I’m guessing come the next update that all of the large cities from Colorado will be in the Top 5. Those cities are Lakewood, Denver, Fort Collins, Pueblo, and Colorado Springs. Stay Tuned!
This storm is moving and from what I have read there may be another one setting up. As always, check with the pros before you travel for the Thanksgiving holiday. As much fun as I have with the snow contests I don’t like it when this happens during the holidays. Have a Happy Thanksgiving and Stay Safe All!! Good luck to Colorado. Small cities in upstate New York reach epic proportions of snow annually in some cases over 350″ per year. Check out Adams Corners.Qswego,Barnes Corners and Watertown to be amazed. Then there are the Adirondack Mountains, the largest protected wilderness in the continental USA, over 6 million acres where snowfall is endless and immeasurable.
