Well, here we go again, folks. Seriously The new 2020-2021 National Golden Snow Globe snow contest has begun. I have to say it and I’m sorry, but it must still be 2020 Not just one of the 5 cities from Colorada received snow but all of them. All 5 cities in the Golden Snow Globe contest received snow and are on the snowboard. I can’t say for sure that this is the earliest date that the snow contest started but it is the earliest that I can remember. This season started on September 8th with at least one of the Colorado cities reporting measurable snowfall on that date. WTG Colorado, I think.
Last season the snow contest started on or around September 30th with Spokane, Washington and Billings, Montana receiving measurable snow. Last season’s snow champs Rochester, NY barely out snowed Lakewood, Co by just a few inches and it went down to the wire. Last season started out pretty good with a lot of the Big cities in the United States getting a pretty early start but took a long pause at one point, and a lot of the normal favorites didn’t even come close to hitting their normal snowfall for the season.
